Overview

In this role, you will be an integral part of the administrative team, delivering comprehensive support services for the School of Fisheries at Nova Scotia Community College. Your focus will be on ensuring exceptional service to all stakeholders, including students, faculty, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital front-line resource, your duties will encompass a variety of administrative tasks, including:

  • Managing student registrations for industry and customized training programs.
  • Documenting meeting minutes, organizing files, and coordinating room bookings.
  • Overseeing calendar management and providing support to faculty as needed.
  • Offering general office assistance to ensure smooth operations.

Familiarity with administrative software such as PeopleSoft will be beneficial in this position.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • A post-secondary certificate or diploma in business or office administration is required. Consideration will also be given to candidates with extensive administrative experience (10+ years) and a high school diploma.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a dynamic office setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and email communication, is expected.
  • A willingness to engage with and adapt to new technologies is crucial for success in this role.
