The Logistics Coordinator will ensure product/loads are covered & assigned with carriers using our Core/Fleet & 3PL Logistics structure insuring and maximizing the most cost-effective way to meet all our customers demands.

**Responsibilities**:

- Arrange carriers for shipments from Ice River plants to customers, as well as between Ice River internal Customers (Plants).
- Maintain SAP Data Base with appointment pick up times, on time delivery times, and carrier rates.
- Monitor carrier performance for on time delivery and report statistics to Logistics Supervisor / Director of Transportation / Supply Chain.
- Create Purchase Orders from SAP Data Base and provide to carriers.
- Communicate with carriers on pick up times, quality assurance shipping requirements, and FDA availability for border crossing.
- Monitor and follow up on progress of all shipments through SAP Data Base, specifically looking at status of order from New, to Picked, to Verified.
- Source carriers and obtain approval on carrier rates with Sr Transportation Manager & Logistics Team.
- Ensure all necessary internal contacts are aware of situations and recommended course of actions to resolve, as necessary.
- React quickly to changing circumstances to ensure delivery to the customer involving all key internal and external contacts.
- Maintain effective customer focused relationships with internal and external contacts including carriers, shipping, customer service.
- Enter and maintain carrier rates & systems.
- Respond to all inquiries related to order processing documentation providing follow up on missing invoices and payments.
- Must work with Logistics Team schedule & be on call every 4th weekend for Logistics Coverage.

**Education/Skills/Experience**:

- 2-4 years of related administration experience in a Distribution/Logistics/Supply Chain environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and resolve carrier issues quickly to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Strong attention to detail, with good organizational skills to prioritize workload and achieve daily objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to constructively deal with carriers and competing internal customer demands.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP S Hanna 400 considered an added asset.

**Working Environment and Physical Demands**:

- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to use hands to type and write.
- Strong vision capability to read a computer screen.
