Outbound Sales Development Representative

Job Summary
Lightspeed is seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our growing North American Outbound Sales team. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads, and serving as the first point of contact between potential new customers and the Lightspeed brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers and introduce our products to decision-makers through targeted outreach and communication
- Engage and qualify new leads through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Collaborate with inbound sales teams to manage the handoff to Account Executives and demo software to prospective customers
- Work with the marketing and sales teams to develop strategies to grow our sales pipeline based on conversations and feedback from prospects
- Consistently meet clearly defined monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
Requirements
- Experience in sales or a call center environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Technical aptitude and ability to clearly explain technology to others
- Strong written and spoken English
- An entrepreneurial and agile mindset, with a bias toward action and ability to pivot when needed to meet business needs and objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry
- Experience with point-of-sale systems or other technology
