Job Summary:
The Ontario Municipal Social Services Association seeks a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in providing essential services to women, children, and youth who have experienced the impact of violence against women.
About the Role:
We are looking for a visionary leader who can drive our mission forward, ensuring the human rights of all women are respected and protected. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, and the systemic factors that undermine women's safety, security, and human rights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance our mission and goals
- Lead a team of professionals in providing responsive and empowering services to our clients
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, community partners, and stakeholders
- Manage organizational growth, transitions, and social services evolution
- Ensure a safe, compassionate, and confidential space for our clients
Requirements:
- University-level degree in social work, healthcare administration, or equivalent
- Combination of education and experience in non-profit management, social service work, or public administration
- Strong understanding of intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, and systemic factors
- Experience working with government agencies and community partners
- Passion for serving survivors of domestic violence and creating a culture of self-sufficiency and growth
