Job Description

Job Title: Executive Director

Job Summary:

The Ontario Municipal Social Services Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in providing essential services to women, children, and youth who have experienced the impact of violence against women.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring alignment with our mission and vision.
  • Develop and implement effective programs and services that address the needs of our clients, including safe shelter and supportive programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, and funders.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of our annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with our Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform our programs and services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in leadership roles, including experience in non-profit management, systems advocacy, and fund development.
  • Strong understanding of intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, and the systemic factors that undermine women's safety, security, and human rights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven fund development skills, with experience in establishing diverse contributed and earned income sources.
  • Ability to manage change and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
