Overview:

As a vital member of the Ontario Health atHome Champlain team, the Recruitment Intern is instrumental in attracting exceptional talent through comprehensive recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support full-cycle recruitment efforts by collaborating with various stakeholders to identify staffing needs.
  • Conduct preliminary screenings and telephone interviews to assess candidate qualifications.
  • Perform thorough reference checks and manage the due diligence process for potential hires.
  • Communicate and negotiate job offers in consultation with Human Resources management.
  • Work closely with the HR Assistant to ensure seamless onboarding and administrative processes for new hires.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative strategies to build a talent pipeline for healthcare and administrative roles.
  • Utilize diverse recruitment channels, including social media and networking, to attract top candidates.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Applicant Tracking System and ensure compliance with recruitment processes.
  • Act as a representative of the organization at job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Completion of relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience is required. Experience in talent acquisition, including needs assessments, interviewing, and making employment offers, is essential. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, particularly Njoyn, is advantageous. Knowledge of recruitment practices in a healthcare or unionized environment is preferred.

Strong understanding of talent acquisition strategies and the ability to apply them effectively is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and video conferencing tools is expected. Excellent communication skills in English are essential; bilingualism in English and French is a plus.
