Your Role:

As a Fraud Investigation Specialist within our Investigative Services team in Western Canada, your primary responsibility will be to assess investigative leads related to Auto and Property insurance claims.

  • Analyze and identify indicators of fraud in insurance claims by gathering and evaluating relevant information to determine the necessity for further investigation.
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations of claim leads across various business lines (auto and property) by collecting and scrutinizing claims data, providing actionable recommendations to adjusters and management.
  • Utilize advanced fraud analytics tools to assess leads and ascertain the reliability of the information.
  • Engage in project management by collaborating with members of the Investigative Services and other Claims departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders (both internal and external) to make informed decisions and provide constructive feedback on leads and projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to enhance fraud detection strategies, financial oversight, and support business initiatives.
  • Innovate investigative methodologies and contribute to artificial intelligence projects related to claims across all business lines.
  • Educate market staff on fraud awareness and prevention.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in claims management within auto, accident benefits, property, or casualty sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in identifying fraud indicators and developing investigative strategies.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications and their practical uses.
  • Experience in investigation within the insurance or financial sectors is a plus.
  • No prior Canadian work experience is necessary.
