Position Overview

The Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our educational facility, offering essential services in confidential office management, reception duties, clerical tasks, and financial assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities are defined by the School Principal within the scope of the job description.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completion of an Administrative Assistant program (17 to 20 weeks) and coursework in Financial Accounting or equivalent, with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with applicable eBrandon policies and procedures.
  • Proficient secretarial skills including word processing, photocopying, data entry, reception, faxing, emailing, customer service, and verified typing speed of 60 wpm.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Moderate proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in the workplace.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Emergency Response procedures (e.g., fire drills, lockdowns).
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Proficient in computer applications and related business software (e.g., Student Information System, HR/Finance/Payroll databases, Microsoft Office, EIS).
  • Coursework related to Medical Secretary or Health Care (for roles in Student Support Services).
  • WHMIS training.
