About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Agile Transformation Coach to join our team at Sportchek. As an Agile Transformation Coach, you will play a key role in supporting the development of change management strategies and strategic priorities by leading aspects of planning, delivery, development, and execution of change for organizational transformation programs, projects, and initiatives affecting people, technology, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Change Management Initiatives: Lead aspects of planning, delivery, development, and execution of change for organizational transformation programs, projects, and initiatives affecting people, technology, and processes.
  2. Develop Strategic Priorities: Lead and participate in workshops to clarify guiding principles, organizational vision, business transformation, and change management initiatives to CTC's strategic priorities to effectively identify challenges and opportunities.
  3. Implement Agile Practices: Lead the propagation and implementation of agile practices throughout the organization.
  4. Communicate Agile Value: Champion and communicate the value of an Agile transformation from a broad perspective for both technology and business teams.
  5. Build Leadership Mindset: Build a leadership and accountability mindset at all levels, helping to develop and evolve the future vision of agility across the organization.
  6. Advise Business Groups: Earn trust as an advisor to assigned business group and operate at a group/enterprise-wide level, serving as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  7. Deliver Coaching and Mentoring: Proactively identify opportunities and deliver the appropriate coaching and mentoring of Agile/SAFe to all levels of the organization.
  8. Engage Teams in Design: Engage teams in a design process of their operating model, and identify the Agile framework and team structure best fit to the business objectives.
  9. Support Leaders: Support leaders in the planning and implementation of new processes and practices by facilitating a progressive adoption sequence of the Canadian Tire operating model.
  10. Facilitate Capability Assessments: Facilitate capability assessments within teams and provide recommendations targeted at evolving the learning journeys of product leads, product owners, and scrum masters.
  11. Design and Deliver Training: As part of the CoE, design and deliver meaningful training to educate teams and leadership on the agile mindset, principles, and practices.
  12. Recruit and Onboard Agile Roles: Assist internal clients to recruit, onboard, and deploy agile roles.
  13. Define and Measure Agile Maturity: Define and measure agile maturity to support continuous improvement.
  14. Develop Strategic Plans: Assist in the development of strategic plans for enterprise agility programs.
  15. Apply Emotional Intelligence: Uses emotional intelligence and humility to understand what motivates people.
  16. Be Motivated and Flexible: Motivated, flexible, and resilient.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ Years of Coaching Experience: 5+ years coaching at the Organizational/Enterprise level, preferably at multiple companies.
  2. Ability to Coordinate and Navigate: Ability to coordinate and navigate the organization to guide senior executives towards agile methods.
  3. Extensive Experience Leading Large-Scale Transformations: Extensive experience leading large-scale transformations.
  4. Knowledge in Organizational Design, Business Agility, and Agile Leadership: Knowledge in organizational design, business agility, and agile leadership.
  5. Demonstrated Ability to Promote Agile Mindset: Demonstrated ability to promote the agile mindset, share knowledge in agile, lean, and different frameworks/ways of working or implementation.

Individual Skills:

  1. Ability to Build Organizational Structures: Ability to build organizational structures that help the evolution of high-performance teams.
  2. Experience with SAFe and Tools: Experience with SAFe and tools that help improve and optimize value streams.
  3. Expert Facilitator: Expert facilitator with the ability to train and coach team members to executives.
  4. Executive Presence: Executive presence with exceptional influencing skills.
  5. Competence in Using Jira, Confluence, and Other Tools: Competence in using Jira, Confluence, other analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques.
  6. Knowledge of Retail Business: Knowledge of Retail Business is an asset.
