Job Title: General Manager

Join Komatsu America Corp. as a General Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic leadership and sales expertise. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and aftermarket operations in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales and aftermarket strategies for hard rock equipment and services within the territory.
  • Direct and control regional hard rock distribution sales growth and aftermarket operations.
  • Responsible for business results, including profit and loss, and long-term business viability of the territory.
  • Liaise between Hard Rock production division and Komatsu Mining territory teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Accountable for assigned territory market analysis, including strategic account plans and customer base development.
  • Responsible for sales and execution of all Hard Rock equipment and aftermarket service associated with assigned business development territory.
  • Form long-term strategic customer relationships with corporate mining customers.
  • Act as a champion for performance management process, providing coaching and mentoring to employees.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of sales or aftermarket management experience in mining or related heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge or experience in underground hard rock mining product application and industry methods.
  • Judgment and intuition acquired through experience in working with executive mining professionals and securing large capital sales.
  • Good business acumen and excellent negotiation skills to drive results.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business growth strategies within OEM business.
  • Customer-focused with ability to network internally and externally.
  • Experience with Surface, Underground, and/or Hard Rock Mining Equipment.
  • Must be innovative, adaptable, and flexible to work with various types of customers and dealers.
  • Possess and demonstrates strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient with computer skills: SAP, Excel, Word, and all windows-based software.
  • Experience with Salesforce, ERP systems is an asset.
  • Ability to travel across North America 50-75% relative to position location.
