Sales Manager

Responsibilities:
Business Growth and Development
- Develop sales opportunities for the Automation product line within their defined territory and/or assigned customer accounts.
- Assess customers’ total potential with Sandvik products.
- Perform opportunity analysis based on customer and site.
- Act as a key contact for the customer account and liaison with appropriate personnel.
- Provide input to product factories to address product offering.
- Develop a sales and service plan for designated territory/assigned customers.
- Occasionally participate in a larger account /sales team meetings.
- Maintain accurate customer records as prescribed by Sandvik.
- Assist as required in any physical inventory counts (especially any consignment stocks).
Financials
- Responsible for achievement of budgeted revenue and GP.
- Responsible for working with assigned customers to maintain (days sales outstanding - invoicing) company target.
- Ensures customers are compliant with Sandvik’s terms and conditions of sale.
Personal Leadership
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures.
- Take responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.
- Proactively ensures community involvement within the area of responsibility.
Technical Expertise
- Stays current with industry developments, competitive offerings and issues affecting sales and customers.
- Occasionally participate in technical studies, demonstrations or field tests.
Environmental Health and Safety
- Comply with Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions' safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
- Identify and report any unsafe work habits.
- Strive to find safer ways for customers to work with Sandvik products.
- Ensure team reports are working in a safe manner and following Company Policies and Guidelines.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree (or two-year college diploma) in Business or Marketing or Technical Diploma within Engineering, etc. or equivalent demonstrated technical knowledge/expertise.
- Ten-years proven sales experience within mining industry.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated/broad team.
- Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.
- Ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes.
- Excellent customer relations and active listening skills.
- Highly developed time management and organizational skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Computer Literacy using computerized inventory and sales systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Valid Passport.
