Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
  1. Manage store operations, focusing on customer service, retail floor management, on-site donations, and merchandise processing.
  2. Conduct regular assessments of the retail floor to identify priorities and delegate tasks effectively during team meetings.
  3. Guide team members on company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  4. Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation processes for team members and supervisors.
  5. Facilitate the hiring and onboarding of managers for merchandise processing and retail floor operations.
Employee Relations
  1. Collaborate with the Area Manager and Human Resources to develop performance improvement strategies for team members.
  2. Ensure accurate completion of administrative tasks related to team members and manage performance review meetings.
  3. Identify and report policy violations to the Area Manager and Human Resources, leading corrective action discussions as necessary.
  4. Handle the off-boarding process for team members, including conducting termination meetings and submitting required paperwork.
  5. Implement and promote employee recognition initiatives and events.
Health and Safety
  1. Maintain a clean and organized environment in customer service areas, the retail floor, and merchandise processing rooms.
  2. Adhere to company guidelines to prevent theft and take appropriate actions when incidents occur.
  3. Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards, reporting them to the Area Manager and Health and Safety Committee.
  4. Manage workplace incidents, ensuring timely documentation and communication with relevant parties.
Store Management
  1. Develop and manage weekly schedules for the merchandise processing and retail floor teams.
  2. Verify the accuracy of weekly schedules submitted by managers.
  3. Create innovative strategies to boost store sales and enhance customer experience.
  4. Control store expenses and payroll to maximize operational efficiency.
  5. Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
  6. Coordinate the preparation and execution of promotional sales events.
  7. Be responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the store.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Maintain professionalism in communication with peers, management, and customers.
  2. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure cohesive operations and productivity.
  3. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Area Manager.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail management role with a focus on high-volume store performance.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in a retail setting.
  3. Experience in a thrift retail environment is advantageous.

  3. Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  4. Ability to push and pull merchandise containers weighing up to 500 lbs.
Work Environment:
  1. Exposure to dust throughout the shift.
  2. Work hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  3. Engagement with customers and the public is a regular part of the role.
