Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
  1. Manage overall store operations, including customer service, retail floor activities, on-site donations, and merchandise processing.
  2. Conduct regular assessments of the retail floor to establish priorities and assign tasks to team members during morning briefings and throughout the day.
  3. Guide team members on company policies and procedures.
  4. Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for Team Members and Supervisors.
  5. Facilitate the hiring and orientation of Merchandise Processing and Retail Floor Managers.
Employee Relations
  1. Collaborate with the Area Manager and Human Resources to develop performance improvement strategies for team members.
  2. Ensure accurate completion of administrative documentation related to team members and manage all performance evaluation meetings.
  3. Identify and report policy violations to the Area Manager and Human Resources, and lead corrective action discussions.
  4. Handle the off-boarding process for team members, including conducting termination meetings and submitting necessary paperwork to Human Resources.
  5. Implement programs and events to recognize employee contributions.
Health and Safety
  1. Maintain organization and cleanliness in customer service areas, the retail floor, on-site donations, and merchandise processing.
  2. Adhere to company protocols to prevent theft and take appropriate measures when incidents occur.
  3. Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards, reporting them to the Area Manager and Health and Safety Committee.
  4. Manage workplace incidents, ensuring timely documentation and communication with the Health and Safety Committee, Area Manager, and Human Resources.
Store Management
  1. Develop and oversee the weekly scheduling for Merchandise Processing and Retail Floor Managers and Supervisors.
  2. Verify the accuracy of weekly schedules submitted by team leaders.
  3. Create innovative strategies to enhance store sales.
  4. Manage store expenses and payroll to maximize profitability.
  5. Address customer needs effectively, including inquiries and complaints.
  6. Facilitate the planning and execution of promotional events.
  7. Be responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the store.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Maintain professionalism in communications with peers, management, and customers, including during intercom announcements.
  2. Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and shared goals.
  3. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Area Manager.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail management role overseeing high-volume store performance.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
  3. Experience in a thrift retail setting is advantageous.

  3. Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs during shifts.
  4. Ability to push and pull merchandise containers weighing up to 500 lbs.
Work Environment:
  1. Exposure to dust throughout the shift.
  2. Work hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  3. Interaction with customers and the public is a regular part of the role.
