Job Title: Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Pearson's Your Independent Grocer. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods
