About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Store Supervisor to join our team at 2703264 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our retail business, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our sales team, including cashiers, grocery clerks, and shelf stockers.
    • Provide guidance and support to our team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Store Operations
    • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Authorize payments by cheque and manage our store's finances.
    • Order merchandise and manage our inventory levels to ensure that we have the products our customers need.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that our store is staffed appropriately at all times.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Ensure that our store is clean and well-maintained, and that our products are displayed in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help us make informed business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a retail business setting.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
