Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Loblaw Companies. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Receive, unload, and distribute merchandise to allocated sections as orders arrive, ensuring that products are properly stocked and displayed.
  • Prepare merchandise for display by trimming and packaging produce according to company standards.
  • Fulfill customer requests by retrieving products from stock and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by adhering to company standards for sanitation and safety.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and promote a positive store culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the store.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in produce or grocery sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
