Job Summary:

As a Grocery Associate at Denninger Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring that customers in the Grocery area are being served in a prompt and courteous manner. This includes restocking and merchandising shelves, ensuring proper Point of Sale signage is visible for all products, and ensuring that merchandise is properly rotated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Restock and merchandise shelves to maintain a visually appealing and organized store environment.
  • Ensure that proper Point of Sale signage is visible for all products and that merchandise is properly rotated.
  • Assist with receiving duties, including receiving and checking invoices for the Grocery and Produce departments.
  • Prepare returns and credits for merchandise returned to suppliers or the warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Store Management.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point of sale system.
  • Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store.
  • Experience working in Grocery is an asset.
Physical Demands:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
  • Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
  • Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds.
  • Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
