Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our grocery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring optimal customer service, driving sales, and maintaining effective communication within the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve product presentation, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure they meet their performance goals.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with store management, vendors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • Customer Service and Communication Skills: Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Experience in Retail and Sales: Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a grocery or supermarket setting.
  • Inventory Control and Management: Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure they meet their performance goals.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including unexpected inventory shortages or customer complaints.
