Role Summary:
The primary responsibility is to provide leadership, strategic insights, and analysis to ensure the integrity of the Workday system. As a Workday Subject Matter Expert, you will deliver Workday Solutions for the support functions of the business, including HR, Finance, and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Workday subject matter expert, designing solutions to meet business needs; document requirements, design and configure solutions, and implement them in production for both projects and enhancements (specializations include HCM, Payroll, or Finance).
  • Stay updated on new Workday functionalities and recommend new features and SKUs to enhance ROI from our Workday platform and promote continuous improvement. Actively engage in the Workday community and related user groups.
  • Provide advanced support for complex Workday tickets, including security and reporting needs.
  • Develop testing strategies, plans, and cases. Execute testing and coordinate with business teams to ensure accuracy and traceability to business requirements.
  • Deliver change management tools as needed, including training (in-person, e-learning, process documentation, corporate communications).
  • Oversee the L1 Workday System Analyst team responsible for daily Tier 2 support, basic configurations, security administration, and reporting. Ensure the overall integrity of the Workday system, including tenant settings, security policies, change control processes, auditing controls, and escalation procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a Workday roadmap (1-3 years). Act as the Workday Named Support Contact and Training Administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with HRIS, Payroll, or Finance applications.
  • 5+ years of experience with Workday in Core HCM, Payroll, or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and configuring complex Workday solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience in designing complex security rules (e.g., creating custom security roles and maintaining domain security).
  • 2+ years of experience as an advanced Workday report writer (e.g., composite and matrixed reporting).
  • Proven experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, listening, written documentation, influencing, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Administration Training/Certification in one or more Core HCM, Payroll, or Finance modules.
  • Knowledge of additional Workday modules, including but not limited to: Recruitment, Time Tracking, Compensation, Scheduling, Learning Management System, Benefits, Adaptive Insights, Prism Analytics, etc.
  • Bilingualism.
  • Previous experience in retail.
