About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Solutions Expert to join our team at Giant Tiger. As a key member of our HRIS team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic input, and analysis to oversee the integrity of our Workday system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure complex Workday solutions aligned to business requirements;
  • Act as Workday subject matter expert in designing solutions to meet business needs;
  • Stay up-to-date with new Workday functionality and provide recommendations for new features and SKUs;
  • Provide 2nd level Workday support for complex tickets, security, and reporting requirements;
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases;
  • Deliver change management tools as required;
  • Manage the L1 Workday System Analyst team responsible for day-to-day Tier 2 support, simple configurations, security admin, and reporting;
  • Develop and maintain the Workday roadmap (1-3 years);
  • Act as a Workday Named Support Contact and the Workday Training Admin.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business Systems, Human Resources, Finance) or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years' experience with HRIS, Payroll, or Finance business applications;
  • 5+ years' experience with Workday in Core HCM, Payroll, or Finance;
  • 3+ years' experience designing and configuring complex Workday solutions aligned to business requirements;
  • 1+ years' experience designing complex security rules;
  • 2+ years' experience as an advanced Workday report writer;
  • Proven track record of experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite;
  • Team player with an exceptional work ethic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated;
  • Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently;
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Assets:

  • Workday Administration Training/Certification preferred in one or more Core HCM, Payroll, or Finance;
  • Knowledge in additional Workday modules;
  • Bilingualism;
  • Previous retail experience.
