Position Overview

The Junior Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily activities of their assigned station. Acting as the primary contact for Commis Chefs, this position assists the Chef de Partie in managing kitchen operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, season, and cook dishes according to specific dietary requirements.
  • Adhere to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Guide and mentor Commis Chefs.
  • Contribute to menu development.
  • Ensure compliance with station opening and closing protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen, upholding safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies.
Qualifications
  • Culinary diploma with a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Proficient in both a la carte and bulk cooking techniques.
  • Previous leadership experience within a culinary setting.
  • Valid food safety certification.
