Position Overview

The Senior Pastry Kitchen Leader is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Pastry Department. This role serves as the primary resource for Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs, guiding them in their culinary growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review daily production schedules with the culinary team
  • Prepare and, when necessary, delegate the creation of pastry items
  • Engage in the mentorship and training of junior kitchen staff
  • Adhere to recipes and presentation standards, accommodating special dietary needs as required
  • Ensure compliance with station opening and closing protocols
  • Support the implementation of Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and secure work environment for all personnel
Qualifications
  • Culinary degree with a minimum of 3 years in pastry, including expertise in bread making and chocolate artistry
  • Demonstrated experience in both small and large-scale baking operations
  • Prior leadership experience within a kitchen setting
  • Valid food handler certification
