Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is in search of dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Ready Mix Drivers to become part of our esteemed workforce. As a Mixer Truck Operator, your primary responsibility will be to transport concrete to various job sites while adhering to safety protocols and operational standards. You will also be tasked with inspecting the concrete for quality and ensuring the load volume aligns with order specifications, all while maintaining professional relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver concrete to customers promptly and with a focus on service excellence.
  • Collaborate with customers on-site to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Conduct visual inspections of concrete mixes for correct consistency and components.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to determine the most efficient and safe routes to job sites.
  • Uphold excellent public relations while performing your duties.
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines set forth by local, provincial, federal, and company standards.
  • Engage in plant operations and equipment handling as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safely operating heavy trucks.
  • Clean driving record (Driver's abstract required).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills when interacting with customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and provincial transportation laws and routes.
  • Basic mechanical skills for minor maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
  • Physically fit, capable of lifting and maneuvering concrete chutes weighing up to 50 lbs, and able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work six days a week (Monday to Saturday) and occasionally on Sundays.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed based on business and weather conditions.
