Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is in search of dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Ready Mix Truck Drivers to be part of our operational team. As a Concrete Mixer Operator, your primary responsibility will be to transport concrete to various job sites while adhering to safety protocols and operational standards. You will be required to assess the quality and volume of concrete according to the specifications of each order and maintain professional relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver concrete to customers promptly and with a focus on service excellence.
  • Collaborate with customers on-site to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Conduct visual inspections of concrete mixes for appropriate consistency and components.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to determine the most efficient and safe routes to job sites.
  • Uphold excellent public relations while performing job duties.
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines set by the site, local, provincial, federal, and company standards.
  • Operate equipment as necessary around the plant.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safely operating heavy trucks.
  • Clean driving record (Drivers abstract required).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills when interacting with customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and provincial transportation laws and trucking routes.
  • Basic mechanical skills for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift checks.
  • Physically fit, capable of lifting and handling concrete chutes weighing up to 50 lbs, and able to sit, stand, kneel, climb, and walk on various terrains.
  • Availability to work six days a week (Monday to Saturday) and occasionally on Sundays.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required by business and weather conditions.
