Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team at Lehigh Hanson. As a Mixer Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering concrete to job sites in a timely and customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver concrete to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work closely with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Visually inspect concrete mix for quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to safety regulations.
- Observe and comply with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Operate equipment as needed and perform minor maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Class 1 or 3 license with air endorsement.
- At least 3 years of experience driving heavy trucks safely.
- Good driving record (Drivers abstract required).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of local and provincial transportation regulations and trucking routes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor maintenance tasks.
- Ability to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work six days a week (Monday-Saturday) and occasional Sundays.
- Willingness to work overtime as business conditions warrant.
