Manager of Surgical Clinical Services Program Operations
As a pivotal role within BC Cancer, the Manager will be responsible for overseeing a variety of departments at the Vancouver Centre. This position entails the management of surgical units, medical equipment reprocessing, oral oncology services, and inpatient care facilities. The Manager will be instrumental in executing the BC Cancer Plan and facilitating transformative changes in clinical service delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Establish strategic objectives and oversee operational planning initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members.
- Effectively manage operations and resources within the clinical service areas.
- Drive quality enhancement initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 7-10 years of clinical experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to foster teamwork and ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Experience in budget oversight and program development.
- Awareness of Indigenous Cultural Safety and a commitment to reconciliation efforts.
