Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks for a designated area, including system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, and equipment upgrades.
  • Diagnose and repair all Intuitive Surgical products and related equipment within a specified region, adhering to established procedures and timelines.
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of systems and hardware.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of operating room protocols and compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including spare parts inventory management and field activity reporting, within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain all company-issued equipment, including tools, vehicles, laptops, and other assets.
  • Support various Intuitive Surgical teams to achieve company objectives, including assisting during transitions in territory assignments and providing support for training events.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback to headquarters to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Participate in all required training programs, including equipment training and professional development courses as directed by management.
  • Manage all aspects of a temporarily assigned territory, ensuring responsiveness to customer needs and facilitating customer training and events.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Facilitate training sessions at various locations, including training centers and hospitals.
  • Adhere to all departmental and company policies.
  • Provide management with regular territory assessments and reviews.
  • Complete administrative tasks within specified deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, in accordance with travel policies.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Reside within proximity to an airport and within the designated region.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the territory and management.
  • Exhibit the core characteristics expected of Intuitive Surgical personnel, including character, capacity, energy, and experience.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and maneuver wheeled objects weighing up to 1200 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in field service roles.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent training/experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in general computer skills.
  • Excellent administrative and record-keeping abilities.
