Role Overview:

We are seeking a Project Manager who will adeptly guide projects utilizing various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. This position demands a thorough understanding of project management principles, outstanding communication abilities, and the capacity to customize methodologies to meet project and team requirements.

The Project Manager is instrumental in planning and executing enterprise projects, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives. This role involves collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring all objectives are met effectively. The Project Manager exemplifies strong leadership and teamwork, contributing to our vision of being a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Oversee projects of varying complexity throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that integrate Agile and Waterfall methodologies as necessary, adapting approaches to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with schedules and budgets.
  • Regularly update and communicate project progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing and post-implementation reviews to evaluate success and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Business Analysis & Team Coordination

  • Implement best practices and recommend process enhancements aligned with business goals.
  • Balance the flexibility of Agile with the structured planning of Waterfall.
  • Identify and address root causes of project challenges.
  • Utilize analytical skills to ensure all business requirements are met for timely project completion.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand processes and requirements for each project.
  • Research project needs and coordinate with external vendors as necessary.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with the Manager of Enterprise Projects to enhance project success.
  • Assist other departments in applying project management standards as needed.
  • Proactively engage with departments and experts to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams.
  • Mentor and offer constructive feedback to team members as appropriate.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes transparency and open communication.

Quality Assurance & Risk Management

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, logs, and schedules.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed and documentation is compliant.
  • Assess and strategically mitigate potential project risks.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Several years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
