Position Summary:

In this role, you will be integral in supporting Project Managers on-site, collaborating with various teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities, be self-driven, and have a keen attention to detail. Independent work is essential.

Work Schedule:

This position operates on a 9-hour workday, alternating between M-F one week and M-Th the following week (totaling 9 workdays over 2 weeks). It is a remote role, requiring one week per month on-site, with an initial two-week on-site orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain project documentation, including employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Coordinate on-site events such as informational sessions.
  • Document meeting minutes, prepare memos and presentations, and distribute them as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of project management documentation.
  • Collaborate with the capital team and suppliers regarding quotes, project expenses, and budget forecasts.
  • Support Project Managers in procuring necessary materials, supplies, and services.
  • Help manage Project Managers' schedules and coordinate team meetings.
  • Prepare for internal and external meetings by gathering required materials.
  • Utilize Excel for various project tracking and documentation tasks.
  • Assist with month-end procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar project role, ideally within the mining or construction sectors.
  • Relevant diploma or degree.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of IBM Maximo or SAP is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada (e.g., permanent resident, valid work permit).
