JOB SUMMARY:

The Central East Prehospital Care Program (CEPCP) is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical oversight and delegation, along with the creation and implementation of ongoing education and Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives for all stakeholders involved.

Our educational offerings encompass a wide range, from CPR and Standard First Aid training to PCP, PCP IV, and ACP education and certification, including research initiatives.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Paramedic Program Coordinator serves as a specialist in prehospital care, possessing extensive experience in clinical practice, QA/CQI, and adult education methodologies.

This role requires a self-driven individual who is eager to excel and advance within their career.

The Coordinator is tasked with designing and delivering educational programs (both online and in-person) utilizing various technologies for our stakeholders. Responsibilities include spearheading process improvement initiatives, mentoring internal clients, supporting program delivery, ensuring compliance with relevant activities, and enhancing the training experience. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the hiring process for instructional staff and maintaining regular communication with stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Certified Paramedic (PCP, PCP IV, or ACP);
- Diploma in Ambulance and Emergency Care;
- Demonstrated understanding of adult education principles and effective teaching/learning strategies;
- Proven ability to instruct, develop, and deliver training across all operational areas;
- Strong capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, showcasing excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a client-focused environment;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- A satisfactory performance record is essential;
- A history of good attendance with the ability to maintain this standard;

- Understanding of PHIPA and confidentiality standards;
- Knowledge of current legislation regarding prehospital care delivery;
- Commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety protocols, including staff, patient, and environmental safety, along with participation in regular in-service education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree (BSc);
- Certification in Adult Education;
- HSFO BLS Instructor Certification;
- Experience or certifications in QA/CQI;

Experience and proficiency in:
- E-learning methodologies,
- High-fidelity simulation and/or virtual reality training
- Other multimedia training platforms.
