Role Overview

Customer Labs is seeking a Lead Customer Marketing Strategist to be a vital part of our Demand Generation division. Reporting directly to the Demand Generation Manager, you will take charge of executing customer marketing initiatives aimed at generating upsell and cross-sell opportunities, re-engaging our clientele, and minimizing customer attrition. Your role will involve cultivating a robust customer community, pinpointing upsell and cross-sell prospects through buyer intent signals, and orchestrating customer lifecycle campaigns.

This position is remote and open to candidates across Canada.

Team Insights

Our Demand Generation team is dedicated to implementing multi-channel marketing strategies to build a high-quality sales pipeline. The team employs various marketing channels, including events, account-based marketing (ABM), email outreach, and paid advertising, to achieve impactful results. This data-centric team prioritizes rapid experimentation and continuous feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop customer marketing campaigns to capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within our existing customer base.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and customer success teams to ensure alignment on customer marketing strategies.
  • Utilize marketing channels such as email, social media, and paid advertising to drive campaigns, working alongside channel specialists as needed.
  • Execute customer ABM initiatives focused on generating enterprise-level customer pipelines.
  • Organize and manage customer roundtable events to share insights and product updates.
  • Partner with the product marketing team to effectively communicate significant product updates to our users and customers.
  • Oversee all user and customer email nurturing programs, optimizing these initiatives to enhance pipeline generation, reduce churn, and foster re-engagement.
  • Create a comprehensive library of customer case studies and success narratives for use by sales and marketing teams.
  • Host webinars and virtual community events centered around key feature updates and topics of interest to our customers.
  • Develop educational content to enhance product adoption among our customer base.
  • Analyze customer pipeline metrics and the impact of customer marketing initiatives, sharing insights with cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in highly collaborative environments, with a strong preference for experience working alongside sales teams.
  • Familiarity with both product-led and sales-led business models.
  • Proficient in marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a track record of making data-informed decisions.
  • Understanding of sales, digital marketing, and growth marketing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to change.
