About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Elder Tree Montessori. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings with staff, parents, and external partners.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and reservations as needed.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to staff and parents in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Respond to electronic enquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to parents, staff, and external partners.
  • Administrative Support
    • Compile and maintain accurate records, statistics, and other information as required.
    • Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
    • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
    • Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.
    • Perform data entry and maintain digital databases.
    • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks as required.
  • Team Support
    • Assist staff with various tasks and projects as needed.
    • Provide administrative support to the leadership team.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
    • Experience
      • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in an administrative role.
    • Language
      • Fluency in English.
    • Work Hours
      • 35 hours per week.
