About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Store Associate to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Merchandising and Stocking: Restock shelves, face merchandise, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Store Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and report any maintenance issues to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of retail experience or equivalent.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Language: English.
