About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Store Associate to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Merchandising and Inventory: Restock shelves, face merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Stockroom and Receiving: Receive and stock merchandise, manage inventory levels, and maintain accurate records.
  • Loss Prevention: Monitor store activity, report any incidents or suspicious behavior, and maintain a secure store environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of retail experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment

Our store operates in a fast-paced environment, and you will be required to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. You will be handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
