About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 1146495 Ontario Inc o/a Bear's Den Lounge & Motel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness in our dishes.
  • Chef Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Train and develop staff to improve their skills and knowledge, and to ensure that they are equipped to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.
    • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet demand.
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure that we are operating within budget.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
    • Address any customer complaints or issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a high level of physical activity and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times.
