About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 1146495 Ontario Inc o/a Bear's Den Lounge & Motel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness in our dishes.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional service.
    • Mentor and develop junior chefs to help them grow and succeed in their careers.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.
    • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage kitchen inventory to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and equipped.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance
    • Ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and well-maintained at all times.
    • Implement and maintain a system for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant or similar food service establishment
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus and ability to work with guests
    • Team player with excellent communication skills
Work Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
