We are seeking a passionate Outreach Coordinator who is committed to fostering accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada, ensuring individuals with low vision have boundless opportunities and can live free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Contributions at CNIB

  • Developing, organizing, and implementing outreach initiatives related to CNIB's Come to Work Program.
  • Building relationships with industry stakeholders where our Talent Pool seeks employment.
  • Maintaining regular communication with potential and existing partners and participants through various channels.
  • Addressing program inquiries and monitoring outcomes.
  • Conducting research on relevant topics as needed.
  • Providing regular updates on project milestones.
  • Collaborating effectively within the team while also working independently to meet program objectives.
  • Networking and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including partner program providers and community volunteer groups.
  • Managing competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality results.
  • Documenting work progress and providing detailed reports as necessary.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

Education and Certifications

  • Minimum post-secondary education or equivalent experience.

Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities; adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in reporting for government or administrative projects is advantageous.
  • Professional demeanor, results-driven, self-motivated, and adaptable.
  • Exhibits maturity and sensitivity when addressing the needs of individuals facing sight loss and other challenges.
  • Knowledge of existing programs and service providers to establish or strengthen partnerships is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience related to blindness and sight loss is considered a plus.
  • Experience with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is advantageous.

Work Environment

  • Dynamic office setting.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Occasional regional travel may be required.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of in-office and remote work.
