As the Coordinator for External Engagement, you will play a crucial part in the development and management of resources that support various engagements, events, and initiatives. Your organizational skills will be key in planning events, maintaining stakeholder databases, crafting written communications, and generating quarterly reports. You will collaborate effectively across departments to streamline outreach and engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Community Relations, your duties will include:

  • Assisting the Manager in engaging with external stakeholders and community groups, ensuring effective communication and relationship building.
  • Supporting all facets of stakeholder relationship management, including regular updates, meetings, and both in-person and virtual engagements.
  • Coordinating outreach initiatives, including organizing working groups, creating materials for engagement, and managing an annual events calendar.
  • Developing comprehensive materials for external engagements, including written communications, issue management documents, and informational displays.
  • Enhancing digital engagement efforts through the creation of surveys, public participation panels, webinars, and engagement reports.
  • Collaborating with various departments to gather and share information, ensuring all materials are approved and processes are efficient.
  • Maintaining accurate records for engagement activities and managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have 1-3 years of experience in public relations, external engagement, project coordination, or communications within corporate or governmental contexts.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
