We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Coordinator who is enthusiastic about fostering accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada, where individuals with low vision can thrive without barriers or discrimination.

Your Contributions at CNIB

  • Developing, organizing, and implementing outreach initiatives related to CNIB's Come to Work Program.
  • Building relationships with industry stakeholders relevant to the Talent Pool's employment goals.
  • Maintaining regular communication with potential and existing partners and participants through various channels.
  • Addressing program inquiries and monitoring outcomes.
  • Conducting necessary research on diverse topics.
  • Providing consistent updates on project milestones.
  • Collaborating effectively within the team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently to meet program objectives.
  • Networking and sustaining connections with both internal and external stakeholders, including partner program providers and community organizations essential to the Come to Work program.
  • Managing competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality output.
  • Documenting accomplishments and providing detailed reports as needed.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

Education and Certifications

  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.

Experience and Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with well-developed interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in reporting for governmental or administrative projects is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor, results-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and emotional intelligence when interacting with individuals facing sight loss and related challenges.
  • Knowledge of existing programs and service providers to foster collaborative relationships is beneficial.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Personal or professional experience related to blindness and sight loss is an asset.
  • Experience with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered beneficial.

Work Environment

  • Flexible office setting.
  • Willingness to work varied hours.
  • Occasional regional travel may be required.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work model, requiring a combination of in-office and remote work.
