Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the Director of Care.
- Supervising and guiding care aides to uphold the highest standards of resident care.
- Administering and monitoring medications, while providing education to residents as necessary.
- Participating in the creation and assessment of nursing care plans to address the evolving medical needs of residents.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions and communicating significant changes in residents' conditions to the Health & Wellness Manager or designated physician.
- Providing personal care assistance and mentoring Health Care Aides.
- Engaging with residents to meet their care requirements and addressing any concerns with the medical team.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A completed Nursing diploma and registration with the provincial nursing regulatory body.
- Experience in a residential care environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple resident needs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and the physical capability to perform essential nursing tasks.
Conditions of Employment:
Applicants must complete CPR and First Aid training, as well as undergo a Police Information Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. COVID-19 vaccination is required unless exempted under legislated protected human rights grounds.
