About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Business Development Manager to join our team at CMLS Financial. As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial mortgage referral relationships with selected mortgage brokers in your region
  • Provide unparalleled knowledge and sales support in the non-prime mortgage space, product and underwriting training to all of your business partners
  • Take ownership of your territory's volume objectives and make it happen while maintaining both deal quality and underwriting efficiency standards
  • Liaise with your colleagues in underwriting in resolving issues with business partners

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage brokerage community in your region preferred
  • Strong background in private residential mortgage credit lending
  • A master in sales, relationship management and development with a proven track record of success. Previous experience in Business Development is required.
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Have strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight deadlines
  • Want to earn above average income by leveraging the aforementioned attributes
  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, or marketing considered an asset
  • Residential underwriting experience also considered an asset
  • A Mortgage Broker license or Mortgage Agent license is required or must be obtained within 6 months of being hired
