Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Manager of Human Resources in Labour Relations, fostering constructive relationships with Union Partners, and contributing to the administration of recruitment and employment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to employee concerns in a timely and professional manner, promoting positive employee relations.
  • Assist with the application of the Attendance Support Program and manage employee performance and disciplinary meetings.
  • Support the administration and processing of Grievances and Arbitration matters, ensuring Collective Agreement compliance.
  • Participate in monthly Labour Management meetings with Union Partners and contribute to the development and updating of Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
  • Support all phases of an employee life cycle, including recruitment, promotion, and transfer, and assist with research, development, and implementation of Human Resources programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 Years' Experience with Unionized Recruitment and Labour Relations.
  • Experience in Healthcare, preferably with HR Software, including Infinium, KRONOS, Halogen, and Citrix.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and consult with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines and establish work priorities.
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or Relevant Discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Alternative Dispute Resolution ('ADR') Certification.
  • Workplace Investigations Certification.
