Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in executing HR-related functions at a professional level. This position collaborates closely with the Human Resources Manager, Corporate HR team, and plant supervisors. The Coordinator is tasked with managing non-exempt recruitment and onboarding processes, while also promoting positive employee relations. In addition, this role encompasses training, policy enforcement, affirmative action initiatives, and compliance with employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the confidentiality of employee personal data, company information, and related records in accordance with applicable regulations.
  2. Oversee the administration of employee transfers, leaves of absence, status changes, and updates to employee records.
  3. Gather new hire information for payroll purposes, entering data into the HRIS and Timekeeping systems.
  4. Maintain organized filing systems for employee personnel, medical, and workers' compensation files.
  5. Manage all contract job bidding processes, including job postings, shift preferences, and modifications to shift start times.
  6. Assist employees and agencies with inquiries regarding employment and wage verification.
  7. Communicate effectively with employees regarding any issues, questions, or concerns, and ensure proper dissemination of information throughout the facility.
  8. Handle incoming calls for the Human Resources Department, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel or providing assistance as needed.
  9. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and vacation policies.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  11. Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (ISO) and Health & Safety protocols is essential.
Qualifications:
  1. Degree in Business or Human Resources from a recognized institution.
  2. 1 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  3. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  4. Basic mathematical proficiency.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  7. Proficient in database applications and administrative systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
  8. Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  9. Highly motivated, service-oriented, and detail-focused individual.
  10. Ability to present information clearly to management, public groups, and colleagues.
  11. Enthusiastic about challenges and new initiatives.
  12. Strong analytical skills.
  13. Solid understanding of Human Resources Information Systems.
  14. Demonstrated internal customer service skills.
  15. Proven presentation capabilities.
  16. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  17. Detail-oriented with good computer skills.
