Emergency Response Coordinator

Responsibilities:
* Process and dispatch emergency and non-emergency police and fire calls
* Provide assistance and instruction to callers using established procedures and protocols
* Use a Computer Aided Dispatch System and other computer programs to manage calls and respond to emergencies
* Perform general support duties related to the 24-hour operations of a Public Safety Communications Centre
Requirements:
* High school diploma
* Strong typing skills (40 wpm minimum)
* Working knowledge of Hexagon CAD systems and IAED Protocol Software (asset)
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling emergency events
* Current Standard First Aid & CPR qualifications
Additional Requirements:
* Police security clearance
* Reference checks
* Polygraph examination
* Basic industry-related aptitude, hearing, and typing tests
* Psychological assessment and interview
