Position Overview
The Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge is seeking a dedicated and permanent, full-time Educational Program Coordinator.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of Field Experiences, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Field Experiences Office through various administrative functions.

The primary responsibility of this role is to enhance communication among students, faculty, school administrators, educators, parents, and university staff during the practicum placement process for student teachers in educational institutions throughout southern Alberta.

Proficiency in integrating technology into all aspects of Field Experience operations is vital for success in this position.

The University of Lethbridge is currently reviewing job classifications for AUPE positions, which may result in adjustments to the classification level for this role. Position Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating placements for student teachers.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess an undergraduate degree with at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of five years in senior administrative roles.

Preference will be given to those with experience in a post-secondary educational environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both in-person and digitally) are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting with frequent deadlines.

Key attributes include problem-solving abilities, multitasking, creativity, and flexibility, alongside a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Proficiency in information management systems is expected, with experience in the student information system 'Banner SIS' considered an asset. Familiarity with Drupal for web content management is also required.

A high level of competency in Excel (including functions such as VLOOKUP and Data Validation) and Outlook (mail merge) in Microsoft Office 360 is essential.

Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to foster effective working relationships within the university community and the broader education sector are critical for success in this role.


Starting Salary Range:

$4, $5,403.00 monthly
Full Salary Range:

$4, $6,034.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 11)
