Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager specializing in the Water Resources Sector, with a strong background in CEQA/NEPA for water infrastructure initiatives. This position entails leading teams in conducting research, performing impact assessments, preparing reports, coordinating with clients, and engaging in business development activities. The primary focus will be on projects involving potable water, wastewater, recycled water, desalination, groundwater, stormwater systems, as well as water supply and rights management.

We are looking for professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment to enhance Rincon's Water Team throughout California. This role offers the flexibility of remote work within California and the option to work from any of our 13 office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft CEQA/NEPA documentation for water infrastructure projects
  • Oversee environmental constraint analyses
  • Provide guidance to clients regarding CEQA/NEPA procedures
  • Engage directly with clients and subconsultants
  • Supervise teams in fieldwork, research, and impact evaluations
  • Manage team dynamics, including subcontractor oversight
  • Establish and nurture business relationships, develop proposals, and secure projects
  • Mentor and train internal staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CEQA/NEPA documentation related to water projects
  • Familiarity with water agencies, public works personnel, and engineering firms
  • Solid understanding of CEQA/NEPA and applicable regulations
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and proficient in time management
  • Exceptional communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
