About the Role

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planning and Project Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising business development, research, field work, impact analysis, and report preparation related to CEQA/NEPA and related technical studies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Perform business development functions, including proposal preparation and active involvement in planning and environmental organizations.
  2. Document Preparation: Write and manage the preparation of complex CEQA/NEPA documents.
  3. Staff Training and Development: Oversee and train junior staff on CEQA/NEPA and other planning and environmental requirements.
  4. Client Interface: Interface with clients and make public presentations to agency decision-making bodies.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance.
  6. Leadership and Expertise: Demonstrate confidence in decision-making and be recognized by clients and peers as having expertise in CEQA/NEPA and related technical areas.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS preferably in environmental science, urban planning, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is desired.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of related experience working in California; private environmental consulting firm experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large, multi-disciplinary team; strong schedule and budget management abilities; ability to travel as projects require; strong client relations; problem-solving and results-oriented.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $84,000-$126,000, plus benefits and bonus. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys.
