Working alongside a dynamic and high-achieving team, this role offers diverse responsibilities and will involve:
Supporting strategic initiatives aimed at federal sector and private industrial clients. Providing senior leadership and mentorship in the execution of environmental remediation projects. Collaborating within multi-disciplinary project teams, offering environmental guidance to other GHD divisions. Staying informed on best practices for innovative remediation techniques. Overseeing design projects, including managing project teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverables. Directing the development and evaluation of technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications. Engaging in local, national, and international projects, which may occasionally require travel to support other GHD offices. Mentoring junior team members in a collaborative and educational environment.What you will contribute to the team:
Over 15 years of relevant experience. Accredited Professional Engineer status in Canada or the United States. Degree in civil or environmental engineering. Possession of a designation for stamping/certifying designs; additional designations are considered advantageous. Proven experience in formulating and executing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management. Expertise in the technical delivery of investigations, designs (including drawings and specifications), and construction support for environmental remediation projects in Canada and the United States. A track record of providing high-profile clients with responsive and innovative solutions. Experience with Canadian and/or US Federal projects is a plus. Demonstrated ability in client advocacy and building trusted relationships with regulatory bodies. Strong knowledge of Canadian (including Ontario) environmental legislation. Familiarity with US environmental legislation is an asset. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and proficiency in report writing.
