We are currently seeking casual Client Services Assistants (PSW) to become part of our esteemed Parkland Fredericton - Brunswick Hall team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, and meals.
  • Facilitate social, spiritual, and intellectual activities for residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas.
  • Administer medications as directed by the Resident Services Coordinator/Manager, adhering to all medication management policies.
  • Perform all duties in alignment with Shannex's Philosophy of Service: Your life. Your choice. Your Home.
  • Communicate relevant information regarding resident care to the Supervisor.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who value continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid Personal Support Worker diploma, certificate, or equivalent (enrollment in a program is acceptable if not yet obtained).
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A valid CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
  • Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Completion of an Alzheimer's and Dementia Care course is advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in long-term care or senior living environments is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for the healthcare sector and commitment to providing quality care for seniors.
