Accounts Payable Specialist

Triovest, a leading privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate firm, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract role in Calgary. This position is essential for managing the processing of invoices related to property development, taxes, and utility services. Your key duties will involve entering and processing invoices into our financial system, ensuring precise coding, and securing timely approvals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the processing of invoices for property development, taxes, and utilities within our financial system. Ensure accurate coding and facilitate timely approvals for invoice transactions. Maintain a systematic accounts payable filing system for effective record management. Resolve issues with external vendors and internal teams to prevent late payment fees. Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies. As a vital member of our organization, you will help cultivate a collaborative work atmosphere and commit to delivering outstanding service. Your flexibility and ability to meet deadlines will be crucial, and we appreciate your openness to learning from experiences and embracing constructive feedback.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of one year of experience in accounts payable. Previous exposure to Commercial Real Estate and/or Property Management is a plus. Familiarity with Yardi software is regarded as a beneficial asset. Experience in processing utility and telecom invoices is also advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills, and competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Comprehensive understanding of the invoice approval workflow as it pertains to Accounts Payable. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. A dedicated team player who excels in a dynamic environment. Highly driven and results-oriented with a strong capacity for execution. Must demonstrate inclusivity and support for the diversity within the Triovest team. Effective time management and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
